I have 2 sons (now 21 and 15). There needs are/were paramount. I was a single Dad for awhile (tough since I was also a Marine at the time).
When the EX was in a situation to be able to care for our sons, they stayed in MD. I then got stationed in NC.
Never disrepect their mother (she should do that to you either).

the bbq will at least be a stress reliever and maybe help clear your mind a bit. I'm hoping for that for myself right now.

if she does something stupid you can use the legal service to take care of it.
my lifes been so rotten lately and stressed out, and last night the daughter thats taking care of the house and the pets blew out her ankle, but if I dont get somewhere and have some fun soon, I'll have no point for going on. with only one go round at life, sometimes you have to do the impractical. not telling you what to do, just telling you from one super stressed out dude to another, sometimes you have to do something fun to save yourself.
i feel your pain i am always battling with my ex and not by my choice, these situations always suck but you gotta do what is right for you and your kids!!
